Why charge a yearly fee to become a client and another for an item?
Pine Cove gallery was born to not only sale pieces of art but also to give a space on a world wide scale for the artist’s art work to be seen and appreciated. However, it is a business. The client and item fees are to help pay for your web space. A reliable hosting service is used to prevent down time and security concerns.
I have small items that sale for $5 to $10. The $10 item fee will take all of this amount.
We can work this out by putting more then one item on the page. (EXAMPLE) Your main page will be the same but the item pages can have multiple items. We will at a later date have a dollar amount for the item page to make this more compatible.
A limit of $75.00 or less per item per page regardless of how many items. Meaning that if your item are $75.00 or more it must be considered a single item page.
I have no idea how to ship my Painting.
No problem. We will help you ship your item. We have accounts with the major shipping companies to help with shipping amount. As far as packaging, it will very with each item. When an item sells we can send a packaging requirements and recommendations list for your convenience.
How do I get a digital photograph for my web page?
We can take a photo for you if you live within a 30 mile radius of Idyllwild California. Beyond the 30 mile radius there is an additional mileage charge. Or with the abundance of digital cameras out there you can have a friend or relative take one for you. Use your artist eye to take numerous ones at different angles and get a complimentary few, together we will pick a favorable one to display. Be aware that photos look different on a camera display verses a computer screen, they will need to be seen on a computer screen before one is picked.
Why isn’t your web page fancier?
By the simple fact that a person looking at the page can be drawn away from the art work by fancy tricks such as flashing, page rolling and other web publishing antics. We are not here to prove to the web publishing elite that we can amaze you with fancy web pages but to sale and display art.
